Would you rather have Christmas Eve off, or Christmas morning?

Assuming that you had to work Christmas day.... Just curious.

I would rather have Christmas morning, but I can definitely see why some might prefer Christmas eve.

Christmas morning for me. I have worked in health care for a long time so I am used to working Christmas Eve as well as other holidays. So if given the choice, I pick Christmas morning to have off.

When DD was still working she would get Christmas Eve off (swapped with someone who wanted New Year's Eve off) and then on Christmas Day, she would take the late shift - 4 to 12.. That way she still had time to be here with her DD and DH to open presents before having to head to work in the late afternoon..:goodvibes

Are you and your family still planning on staying home Christmas Day?
Have Fun on your first whole day off with your family in 17 years :santa: (I think I remember you said 17 years I could be mistaken). Anyways Enjoy every minute!

Yes we are, and I am really looking forward to it... starting in the afternoon we will have 6 guests coming over for dinner. Yep. 17 years.

it depends if i am working day shift or night shift ! For noc shift having Christmas off really is having the 24th off.........and no big deal to show up for work 11 pm on the 25th.

I'd rather have Christmas morning. When I worked in a treatment center, though, I worked midnight Christmas Eve until noon Christmas day, two years in a row. It wasn't that horrible, but my daughter went nuts waiting for me to get home so she could open her presents. :rotfl:

My DH gets neither. His regular Wednesday shift is Wed 5 pm to Thursday 6:30 am.

So this year, he not only misses Christmas Eve but also Christmas morning!

In a perfect world, I would prefere Christmas day off instead of Christmas Eve. We don't really do services anywhere, so it's fine.
