Just wanted to say thanks for reminding me I need to talk with a neighbor about their son! My DS11 came to me VERY concerned about his best friend (age12) and some things going on last night. I totally forgot to call until just now. It does take a neighborhood!!!

I know I want to know if there is soemthing inappropriate Nick is doing. Parents/guardians can't be with kids all the time so it is up to all of us to help guide kids in the right directions.

(You know, now that I think about it, I NEVER got away with anything when I was younger. Neither did my brother. He even got busted out for speeding once by a neighbor!! His facial expression was priceless!!!! )

I figured that was the word, but I have never heard the tuesday reference either. DH hasn't heard it either and we are both over 40. Maybe that is why we had never heard this reference used.

Oh thank you! That's the word that's been going through my mind, but I didn't get it. Finally it can stop!!!

Oh and ... yea that's offensive I don't care if it's being directed to me or not.

It is hard to know when to intervene. We had this huge deal go on here where DH confronted neighbor kids who were openly smoking pot next door. Very long story, but in the end, it was DH who was almost sent to jail (false accusations by panicking kid.)

And you know what really stinks. Frankly a kid who's yelling stuff like that down the street is just totally without class and you're not going to be able to change him. But I'm sure grandpa really appreciates that you're helping him protect his property by filling him in. You did the right thing.

Ya, that's the word I thought they probably used too. It still remains very nasty even though many nasty words have lost their power.

I'd figured it was the B word that was used and the other word hadn't even occured to me until someone mentioned the Tuesday reference, which makes me even more surprised that I figured it out.
