Would You Pick Up Your Luggage?

Our airline has changed our arrival in Orlando from 5PM to 6:45PM. Has anyone picked up their own luggage and taken it on the Magical Express rather than wait for it to be delivered to their rooms? I don't want our luggage delivered after we want to settle in for the night.

You can certainly do that (just don't put the ME tags on your bag), but its really not a problem. You can tell bell services not to deliver after a certain time at night and they will hold them for you. When you wake up in the morning, call them and your bags will be delivered quickly.

We just used ME on our trip a couple of weeks ago. Our flight got in around 6:30 pm and we brought our luggage on the ME bus with us (like above poster said, just don't put the yellow tags on it and retrieve it yourself). I just wanted our luggage right away so we could unpack and be ready for the next day! We have two young children that I wanted to go to bed at a decent hour and I didn't want to have to ask them to wait until the next morning to bring it to our room. (Probably just a control freak I guess.)

We did utilize checking the luggage in (and get our boarding passes) at the resort for the flight home though - it was nice to not have to tow our luggage around and not have to check-in at MCO. We just went straight for security.

ME is usually very good at bringing your bags in a very prompt manner. This is a very neat service, and I would take advantage of it.

I've picked up my own luggage both times I've used ME- I just like keeping track of it, and having everything right there when I get to the resort.

Okay this might sound/seem a little bit anal retentive BUT I will be arriving MCO at 10:08pm (at least that is the projected time). Should I go and pick up my lugguge or let ME do it? Because of the late arrival I am assuming I might be the only or one of a few arrivals. I would like it if my lugguge could go with me to the resort hotel and then to my room. Would I have to wait until the next day before my lugguge arrives in my room? The hotel know I will be arriving late but that is a different story about room requests and reservations.
