Would you pay to ride the monorail?

Interesting responses I figured with all the bus hate and huge desire for monorail expansion the answer would be more 50/50.

But you are forgetting the fact that the people who hate the buses also tend to hate the monorail. Some people just really don't like public transportation.

Many years ago, they did sell tickets for it. I remember in the way back machine when busses were just for resort guests and you had to flash your resort ID to get on them. Same deal, I think for the monorail as no ticket required if staying on property.

I think Disney did away with it for a reason and do not see them charging for it.

Not sure when they changed it, but I thought Disney allowed offsite guests to use the transportation system so that they would spend money at other shops and restaurants on property.

it changed a LONG time ago. I vaguely remember when I was a very small child my parents being annoyed they couldn't just take the monorail to Poly. That had to be like 1984-85 or somehwere in there. (I didn't understand the fuss at the time, MK being a dry park meant nothing me.)

LOL I'd tell Walt where to stick it if WDW wanted a rider fee on top of Room and Park costs.:rotfl2:
