The friend of mine that was a major league baseball player is Dean Chance. Dean won the Cy Young pitching award in 1964, while with the Angels. He also pitched a 9 inning no-hitter later on and also a rain shortened 5 inning no hitter. Unless you are older or a real big baseball fan you may not have heard his name.
