I've seen a lot of threads on this board about tv's, HD tv, DVR's, etc. I know that the general public seems confused about the changes, new technology, what to look for in a purchase, etc. If your local parks and rec. dept. offered a course taking the mystery out of it, would you be interested in taking it? What would you be willing to pay? What would you like to come out of the class knowing? Would you like to know about home theaters or just basics of HD tv?

My husband works in the industry. He is extremely knowledgable. Part of his job for the last 6 years has been training sales people in stores. Last night I suggested he contact our city and offer to teach a class. It would give him a little "fun" money on the side. But, I'm curious what people really want to know and what they would be willing to pay.

I'm thinking aprx. 2 hour course, maybe $25-40. Its a pretty small price to pay compared to the cost of electronics.

We wouldn't take one; DH is fairly proficient in it all and just picks up magazines to get info he doesn't know off hand. He helps others hook all of their stuff up, too.

I am too cheap to pay for a class and don't have time for one anyways so I may not be the best person to answer ;)
