Would You Pay $122 Per Point For Beach Club?

Hope when DVC sees the price they don't get the same idea and raise membership another $10-15.
Why not. As an existing owner with plenty of points at my favorite resort I kinda'
like that idea.

I really hope the buyer understood that 25 points isn't even gonna get them more than 2 nights in a studio.

Me too! And those 2 nights are at certain times of the year, of course at OKW it would be 3 nights. :teeth:

Bobbi :)

There's another auction up now, 50 VWL points for $4500, "your membership will begin in 2008" :sad2:

I wonder if Disney will buy it back so the seller doesnt make a profit.

They would still make the profit. With ROFR Disney buys it back at the same price the seller sold it for. They have to match it.

Then again when is the last time someone saw a 25 point BCV contract on "The TimeShare Store".

They can get 12 vacations of 5 nights or 60 nights total, if I use $250 per night for a Studio rate we end up with $15,000 in room costs for the cost of $3500 up front and about $125 per year. Combine with many of the DVC discounts it could be a lot worse.

I'd wager people would pay $110 to Disney for a BCV addon for immediate points.

If you are already a member this would work as an add on. The seller is also selling 45 Boardwalk points! Ebay is the way to go if renting or selling apparently. ;)

Laugh all you want. :rotfl2: These small contracts are very valuable to take advantage of the point transfer glitch. :listen: 25 point contract, transfer in SSR points and bingo, you are booking BCV at 11 months. Worth a premium in my mind. I've done just that 5 times and counting now. Not so funny is what it does to reservation availability at the small properties. It creates an unbalanced system. :stir:

Thanks,

Bill

I understood that transferred points still retained their original use year and resort properties, so you couldn't use even transferred SSR points to book at BCV at 11 months out. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong or if something has changed.

The Majic seems able to extract a premium out of its theme parks on $5 cola's, $8 burgers, $25 t shirts etc... You gotta give the Mouse credit for some of this also. I have seen people draped head to toe in Disney merchandise (me included) so for some folks price appears to be no object for a piece (small piece in this instance) of the majic.
