Would you move your trip dates up a week to avoid tour groups

Can anyone tell me do the cheerleaders or Tour Groups usually stay at CSR?

I know it's a moderate but, I haven't really heard much about it when it comes to the larger groups.

Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about the cheerleader groups but I disliked being there in January when the South American groups were there. They can be rude and frustrating in the parks and on the buses.

Well I am not really worried that much about the cheer groups, but the other groups are of my concern in the parks. If someone gets rude with me, I can dish it right back out to them.

CS is one of the resort options for the cheer groups. I suspect most stay at Pop since it is closer to ESPN.

Uhhh, I'm visiting with my family (4) in January, but not with a tour (these are awful and I'll never understand why ppl pay to go with those). We staying at the Pop. Should we worry? Not that we can change, but I thought Jan had the lowest crowds, and now I'm worried we made a very bad choice lol

CBR is actually the choice on the registration form, but I guess it's possible to end up at CSR if CBR is filled.

We are staying at AoA, so I expect Land of Flavors will be crowded and busses will be horrible as they migrate over from Pop. I hope that the teens sleep in long enough for us to catch an early bus. Rescheduling is not an option for us.

There is NO time for sleeping in that weekend. The competition starts early in the morning, usually before the parks are even open.

I would be concerned. See I really want to switch to AoA, but this issue is holding me back from doing so.

We are thinking about a trip back to Disney with the dates of 2/3-2/7 in mind. Now I do now that the cheerleaders will start invading that week, even though we will not be staying at a resort they will be at.
We will be at Boardwalk. Would you consider it a wise move to bump the dates up by one week to avoid them?

I would also love to move to AoA for the prior week, but still now that theres a good chance that other "January" tour groups might being staying at Pop and venture over there quite a bit making the resort way to crowded and hectic. Am I wrong with this assumption?
There will always be crowds at Disney.

While many of us have had negative, and downright rude, experiences with large tour groups, I don't believe that it's worth changing plans when you have no way of controlling any crowds.

There will be plenty of tour groups no matter when you arrive.

This is copied from the registration form for the High School Cheerleading Competitions:

"For the 2016 Championship we will be offering two of WDW’s Value Resorts: Disney’s All-Star Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort. We will also be offering three WDW Moderate Resorts: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Port Orleans Resort-Riverside. Every effort will be made to ac- commodate your first choice of hotel. However, we cannot guarantee your choice until all registrations are in"

That being said, after all that I have read, I am not really all that concerned about staying at AoA during that weekend.

Well, where I REALLY want to stay is at AoA. And I really think that tour groups from Pop will spill over into AoA during the dates of 2/3-2/7. Two tour groups, possibly.

1. Cheer groups

2. Big Tour Groups

But if I were to move my dates up by one week, 1/27-1/31, I think I could avoid any of the Cheer groups that might spill over to AoA from Pop, but probably not the Tour Groups.

Its the fact that I REALLY want to stay at AoA is what is fueling this.

Then switch your dates and switch to AofA.
