Hi guys :goodvibes

I have gone from one extreme to the other. Our Easter trip may have turned out to be 'just' a pool holiday but I started thinking about AP's etc and now have a rough plan of the parks we might visit :lmao: and I suppose planning for this hol will be more crucial than most due to the crowds :confused3

We don't normally plan too much, just have a rough idea of which parks (based on busy days guides etc) we might visit on certain days but we are very much open to change.....

I think once we get there and see what the crowds are like we will have a much better idea of our intentions but what do you think of this rough plan? The only things 'set in stone' are our ADR's....

April 2011.

13th Arrive
14th IOA
15th relax
16th AK pm with ADR at rain forest cafe for 6.30pm
17th US
18th BG
19th relax (DH's bday) ADR at CG 7.30pm
20th EPCOT
21st DHS pm (poss do Fantasmic?)
22nd relax
23rd relax
24th relax
25th SW (too busy with it being Easter Monday?)
26th relax
27th MK ADR at TREX for 6pm
28th relax
29th pack for trip home :-(

Any obviously problems?
We will have AP's so can pop into parks as and when.
We don't often stay at a park for a full day......
Tried to avoid the parks Easter W'end....

Any thoughts pls?

Easter falls late this year and, although it'll undoubtedly still be busy, it might not be quite as frenetic as usual because it doesn't coincide with Spring Break.

I wouldn't choose to have a 'down' day on our second full day. The excitement and jet-lag combine to have us up and at it for at least the first three days. But you've been before, so I'm sure you know what works best for you.

I'd probably try to avoid the Universal parks at the weekend. Conventional wisdom seems to have it down as the busiest time.

Other than that, you've stuck to the golden rule of avoiding EMH days, so I reckon you're good to go! :thumbsup2

Do the Fantasmic Dinner package, you will spend a lot less time waiting in line for the show!

Thanks guys :goodvibes

Deb :goodvibes - the girls will be desperate to have a 'pool day' by day two, so that's the plan weather permitting :thumbsup2 Will defo look at moving our day at US :thumbsup2

RDP - yes did consider the Fantasmic package but unsure as to timing. There are no 'late' slots left, so we could do a late lunch and then stick around until 8.30 but if the park is super busy I can't see that we would stay all that time as we really only do 4/5 hours max at the best of times :confused3 And as for shopping, we love the malls so will visit those on our 'relax' days :thumbsup2

Thanks again :goodvibes

OK, had a small re-jig as follows:

April 2011.

13th Arrive
14th IOA
15th relax
16th AK pm with ADR at rain forest cafe for 6.30pm
17th relax
18th US
19th relax (DH's bday) ADR at CG 7.30pm
20th EPCOT
21st DHS pm ADR lunch booked for Fantasmic package
22nd relax
23rd relax
24th relax
25th SW (too busy with it being Easter Monday?)
26th relax
27th MK ADR at TREX for 6pm
28th relax
29th pack for trip home :-(

So I have moved US to the 18th, still not sure if this is for the best as one busy day guide suggests that Sunday is a quiet day to visit or is that just in relation to other parks on that day?
Made and ADR for lunch at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package.
But seem to have lost BG?!?! Wonder what day would be best?

Thanks,

Ali :goodvibes

We went to universal on a friday and saturday and Saturday was a lot quieter than Friday!! In fact on the saturday we had the park to ourselves until around midday when everyone came over from IOA !!

I wouldn't be inclined to take my word for it as far as the Universal parks are concerned if you're getting other opinion elsewhere. We tend to visit at quieter times of year, so it's not an issue for us. I'm far more experienced at predicting the crowd patterns at WDW. I may have sent you on a bum steer. Sorry! :rolleyes1
