Would you hop from Epcot to MK?

I’m going on a solo trip in 3 weeks. I have not been in 20+ years and who knows when I will be back again.

My original plan was to go to Epcot on my first day on a one-park ticket. (My next day, I’m hitting AK in day and HS AH). As I was figuring out my theme park tickets, my friend who worked for Disney gifted me one of her park hopper tickets.

Now, I’m wondering whether it’s be worth hopping over at some point to ride Tron. I’ll get Genie+ for Epcot and wonder if I might be able to get SDMT also. Those are the only two rides I might really want to do at MK (except maybe People Mover).

I figure I can buy an ILL for later in the day. If I just go over and come back, that’d cut into the day a bit. I’d be open to ending at MK. Originally I wanted to watch Luminous. But I know HEA is a good fireworks show also. Is one better than the other?

SDMT is not a G+ ride, you need to buy it separately. You mentioned buying an ILL I assume for Tron? You could buy both to minimize your time in line.

As to would I do it, I like both parks and would be unhappy to miss either. I personally found Tron underwhelming and much prefer GotG, but understand the desire to try it. You don't need to go through security a 2nd time when taking the monorail in between them. I haven't seen Luminous yet. Is one park open later in the evening?

Hadn't looked into MK much since I wasn't planning to go. Good to know! Probably wouldn't pay for SDMT. I could consider buying both but maybe I'd rather doing GotG twice.

Unfortunately no.

I did hear Tron wasn't as great ---which is why MK wasn't originally on my list. I will keep thinking about it. Thanks for your input!
