I know this question is hopelessly old, most of DIS'ers are not close to this milestone. Would or will you be going? I'm undecided. :confused3

Well, I'm closer than I care to admit ;) Yeah, I would go. Most of my friends that I have now are ones I graduated with :thumbsup2 I have gone to all of them so far. Why are you hesitant? :confused3

Sure.
I'm somewhere between my tenth and my twentieth. :thumbsup2

Indeed. I will be out of hs 40 years next month. Would I go to any reunion? Sure and I have. The 20th was the best. Everyone was FINALLY mature and there was a lot of interaction between everyone, even those who never had anything to do with each other.

If you want to go, then do it. You might have a great time. :teeth:

Youre not old! My 20th is coming up soon. I dont know if I will be going or not. It just doesnt seem so important anymore.

OTOH if I manage to lose some weight before then well then.... ;)

I attended my 10th a couple of years ago, and they hadn't matured yet. I don't know that I will ever convince myself to do it again.

I went to my 25th... and yes I am older than you all, I had a blast.....I have not gone to one since though as I have not heard about anymore done for my class.. I absolutely would go and made sure I had the best time.

I would go if I thought I could show up some of the snotty girls who thought they were all that and a bag of chips. Actually, I've seen recent pictures of some of them and the years have NOT been kind... :rolleyes1

I would! I went to a really small school (100 kids in each class) so we all pretty much recognize each other. My 15 year is Friday and I will be there! I swear that I am going to lose 20 lbs. before my 20 though!!!!!!

Hey, I couldn't help but notice your tag :) I am a milk drinker also, as long as it has vodka and kaluah in it :thumbsup2 :teeth:

My DH's 25 is this year and he is not going!

No, but only because most of my high school friends I'm still in touch with.

Another "youngster" ;) who's 30 year has come and gone. Did I go? No. Would I go to the 35? No. The only people I would actually love to see again are the people that wouldn't be caught dead at a reunion! Not knocking reunions. Just not my cup of tea. Have fun if you decide to go. :)

My sister was very, very, very shy in high school and not real active in a lot of stuff. She was in a class of 500+. She really didn't want to go to her 20th reunion (right here in town), but I talked her into it. She had the BEST time and thanked me for pushing her to go.

That was a decade ago, and she just had her 30th this past weekend. Again she was just amazed at how friendly everyone was and how many people remembered her. There was basically no jockeying for position like in high school.

My 40th is this fall. All we are concerned about at this point is who is still alive.

Ditto! I doubt anybody I would like to see would be at the reunion. I went to a large urban high school and I think everybody just scattered as fast as they could after graduation. :sunny:

DH's 3 best friends from high school wrote him a letter to try to get him to go to his 25th reunion (1997) and he not only would not go, he wouldn't even respond to their letters! No bad memories of them, just HATED high school.

Nope! Went to my 5th and that was it.

Went to my 10th and it sucked so no for me too. Also, happened to realize this is the 30th year of my HS graduation, and I haven't received anything as yet.....maybe thats a good thing! :teeth:

These responses are great and very helpful. I enjoyed my 10th and 20th reunion. But now, the reunions will include 1975 & 1977. There's a person I don't want to run into from the 1977 class. This alone would keep me from attending.
