For me...no way, but curious what a poll will say
I agree and cruising is very different than being at WDW.....only so places you can go and limiting outdoor areas like pool decks just isn't feasible...people like to drink on deck...dont see masks as possibleIf it isn't safe enough to take your mask off in public areas, it isn't safe enough to cruise.
Of course! I don’t see many downsides, except maybe a little discomfort. If they’re required on land to do tasks like shopping/working, why not wear it on vacation?
And that's the issue they had at WDW. People abusing the "no mask required while eating & drinking" rule. They then said, you have to be seated in an eating area, while eating & drinking to remove your mask.As long as the rule is “no mask required when eating or drinking,” I’m fine... I’m ALWAYS either eating or drinking while on a cruise.![]()

I can’t share your feelings that Cruising is the ONLY Covid-19 Poster Boy(the other term leaves me a little uncomfortable)If only the same requirements for cruises were required on land, there would be no Covid. Selective outrage and the cruise industry wound up being the Covid whipping boy. To this day, in the worst pandemic in our lifetime, still no action by the CDC against any other industry on the planet other than cruising. Makes no sense.
I feel the professional sports and professional theater have it worse than cruisers. They’re still not allowing social distancing at the games or theaters. And those are 3 hour to 7 hour events.
There isn't a ban CDC ban on specific sports or sporting events nor entertainment situations, those are handled by the local and state authorities. I get you're upset that your interpretation that the CDC is targeting the Cruise industry, but the CDC is the authority entity that oversee's the industry, they aren't singling out cruise lines, they're singling out the environments that ALLOW the spread of infections, and as has been shown since the system wide shut down and subsequent restarting of some cruises in Asia and Europe, of which most all have returned with crew and passengers with positive infection results! That shows that cruise ships foster and incubate the virus simply because of their enclosed environments, not that passengers are responsible or are actively knowingly spreading the virus, but shows that it's unlikely that cruises can safely resume anytime in the near future with out some kind of vaccine or antibody treatment that will prevent infection. Clamoring to resume cruises with out some kind of protection or mitigation for chances for infection first won't really result in changing the expected decisions about what the CDC will do.I must have missed the article that mentioned the CDC ban on those venues.
