Would you go alone?

I would go alone in a HEARTBEAT!!!!!!! It would be a little boring at first, but RELAXING!!!!!!! :cool2:

Just did my first solo trip two weeks ago, and I loved it. Now, I must say that I did miss being there with my family, but it was fun to do it alone. I went on the things I wanted to and didn't have to worry about what anybody wanted to do. I never felt unsafe being on my own, as there are always people around when you are at Disney. I definetely would do another solo trip if I got the chance.

I just got back from my first solo trip! I went 10 days, and it wasn't long enough.

Here's some things I learned -

I was comfortable eating alone, including at the character meals. The only meals I would even think about reconsidering doing solo would be buffets, and that is only because every time I got up to go get more food, I had to take my purse and everything with me, and that got annoying. With that being said, Boma is a must do for me, and I also love Crystal Palace.

I felt completely safe. I didn't go to Pleasure Island at all, though that was because I was to tired at night, and I was going to go, just never got around to it. I did go to DTD twice, but that was during the day, for shopping. I wouldn't worry about leaving the parks before dark - then you'd be misisng Fantasmic, Illuminations, and Wishes.

I completely rellied on Disney transportation, which was efficent.

Also, don't be afraid to talk to strangers. I had some great conversations with people at restaurants, people in line, and such. Also, cast members are fun to talk to to.

If you like meeting the characters, go for it. I didn't have any problems getting my picture taken with them.

Then, of course, there's the great benefit of being able to go, and do what you want. I would definatly suggest getting the park hopper pass, as there were many days I would go to MGM and Epcot, or Epcot and MK.

I'm sure there's more, please feel free to ask me anything.

Thanks guys! I haven't gone yet! Dh and I went last week to Epcot and well he wasn't thrilled browseing through all the worlds , so we talked about me leaving him at home and me going alone for some "Mommy Time" and he said sure he wouldn't have a problem with it. He said sometimes it's better to do it alone. Also he's not the Disney freak I am. He also said as long as I had my cell phone he didn't see a problem with me being there after dark. My only concern is the roads back home as I said for the most part I'm on 2 lane country dark roads. I could take the more populated route but that adds between 30 and 45 mins on to my drive b/c of the traffic so we shall see. I'm gonna go next week alone with DS, DH is going back to NO for a few days to see what he can salvage and so I'm planning 2 days with DS!

I go whenever I get an excuse. I occasionally end up in MCO on business, and I always tell my family that I'm going to WDW while I'm there. It is definately not the same experience as with my family, but it just as great. It is awesome and luxurious "me" time!
Go! Enjoy!
