Would you fly now?

My son just got off of a plane in Florida and I was a nervous wreck the entire 2.5 hrs he was in the air. He went to visit his grandfather and will be flying home on Sunday and I will be a nervous wreck then. We go to WDW on 3/1 but we always drive.

Yep...flying down to Disneyland next week and then to Arizona in March. Too many wonderful things to see and do in this world to be afraid. I'll enjoy it while I'm here. Not my decision when and how I depart this earth...it could be driving to work today, for all I know.

Yes I would.

I refuse to be gripped by fear & the reward in my faith is that there is no sting or fear in death for me.

If God wants me with Him, no amount of hiding will prevent that. If God wants me to stay here, no amount of attacks will kill me.
Well said Jeff.

Yes absolutely would. There are many methods that parties could attack us and there is just as much chance of being in a situation at home as somewhere else.

Also, I will not be a prisoner of fear!!! God Bless America!

yep, i sure would.

i'm flying this weekend. i'm flying in april. i'm flying in june, and possibly in august.

my life goes on. :)

Of course! I flew last weekend, I'm flying this weekend, and in March, April, July and December.

I can't imagine NOT living my life as usual and enjoying every moment of it. NOT flying would not make my life any SAFER and it certainly would make it less enjoyable.

As I said on another thread, you could be killed in your house or in front of it. Living in fear is not living at all.

I have no choice but to fly. It's part of my job. In fact I have to fly on the 25th of February. But I'm ok with it...I would fly anyway

Yes certainly...... we will in fact be flying very shortly and I hope that we get to fly back. If not then we will be having to get a car rental and all of us (7 family members, including cousins from the UK) will have to drive back but nonetheless we WILL be going to Florida and we WILL NOT let terrorists rule our lives!!!! :)

If I could afford the plane ticket, I'd be on a plane in a heartbeat. I'm putting my wife and MIL on a plane in June so that they can both attend a wedding and join the rest of us at WDW for vacation. Tuffcookie just boarded a plane from Akron (Ohio) to Orlando this morning.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm more afraid driving to and from the airport than I am getting on an airplane.

I'd definitely fly, I'm not afraid - I wish I was going somewhere nice on vacation so I *could* fly! :p

yes i fly and don't think twice about it. you're still more likely to be injured or killed in a car than a plane. driving takes too long. if i could afford it i would fly everywhere (especially wdw) :)

I was not much of a flier to start with but after 9/11, I vowed to NEVER fly again. All that is going on now just confirms my decision. I admit that I wish I wasn't this fearful but I am. I planned to drive to WDW in Nov. with my kids but if things are still like they are now, I won't be doing that either. I feel a little safer in my own home and if that's where I nedd to stay to keep my kids from seeing my fear, then that is what I'll do.

I flew this weekend and will have to fly again in a couple of weeks. What am I going to do, let these little creeps scare the heck out of me, so I would have to loose my job? Unfortunately I have to fly every now and then.

I got tickets for Las Vegas in June and plan on boarding that plane!!

We are flying to Orlando in 10 days. If something is going to happen, it could happen anywhere.

I had a bad experience and was afraid of flying long before 9/11. I don't care if I never fly again, but I probably will sooner or later. I don't think I'll ever fly alone again unless there's some sort of emergency.

I love to fly...though there is a little twang of fear that something will go wrong with the plane itself...but no fear of terrorism.

But honestly, I prefer driving because I love to see the country. We drive to CT to visit DH's family and make the trip part of the vacation by always stopping over and doing something interesting....like Hershey, PA and Gettysburg. Plus, we try to do alot while kids are sleeping and that gives DH and I tons of time to talk.

Yep, in fact I'm flying tomorrow.
