Would you fly now?

Yep. I flew a few weeks ago for a meeting in Houston and we are flying to NYC next weekend. It never even occured to me not to.

It never bothered me before, and it doesn't bother me now. I prefer to fly than drive any day.

I'm glad I'm not going anywhere too soon, although if we had plans, I'm sure we'd still go. Our next planned flight will be in November, and as long as there are no crises between now and then, we'll go.

yep in a heart beat now if only I had a place to go ;)

Weve flown since 9-11 and it didnt bother us at all.

I agree with Jeff, If God wants me I wont stand in His way ( not that I could)

Yes. We're flying next week and were scared, but more scared that WDW will be a more likely target. Will we cancel? NOPE! We can't live in fear, I REFUSE to live like that, so off we go and bring on the Xanax!!!

Holly

Absolutely! If I had "extra" money, I would be gone in a heartbeat!! :teeth:

Jeff, I couldn't agree with you more! I truly believe everybody was brought into this world with a number, and it doesn't matter where you are or what you are doing, when your number is called GOD will bring you home.

WebmasterMichelle also well said. You need not live in fear, that is not living at all.

Live life to the fullest, one day at a time. :p You never know what tomorrow might bring. May GOD bless each and every one of you.

without a doubt!

My family is spread out all over the country. I will not allow fear to keep us apart- that really would be tragic.

In a minute. I refuse to allow anyone to dictate my activity. I live in a free country, and I plan to continue to exercise my freedom. Doing anything different just allows the terrorists to win, and I REFUSE to let that happen!!!!

If I had no one else in the world that cared about me, yes.. Having loved ones that would be worried to death about me, no..

As I posted on another thread....we are flying this weekend. I am more nervous than the last time we flew a couple months ago just because everything is heigtened right now.
I have flown 5 times since 9/11 and proud of it. But it does make me a little nervous that something could happen while we are on vacation. not that something will happen to us but somewhere in the world. When those things happen it is always reassuring to be in your own home. ;)

We were in WDW for 9/11 and that was an experience.

I would have no problems flying. SO is frequently on business trips and has been gone for almost 3 full weeks in different places, including many flights, both in the US and to Canada (hopefully he comes home tonight or tomorrow). He hasn't had to go further for any international business lately, but he would go if he had to for work. I don't think he is afraid, and I am not either. I was just talking with a friend today and we both were saying how much we wish we just had the time/money right now for a little WDW trip. My SO and her DH off playing golf, while we sit by the pool or go shopping. :smooth:

Would you fly now?
Myself, Never .

Well...Gail I would/have/will....to begin with I'm not afraid of any criminally insane beautocks....secondly...I REFUSE..to allow someone else to chose for ME....what/where/when I go on travel.....in a macarbe sort of way...I "hope" (not really) that I find myself in a 'worse case' senarino...as I KNOW how I'd act...and I'm CONFIDENT in my abilities...long answer ...but yes...without any doubt whatsoever! :)

Nicely said, Jeff.

Sure would. I di fly to WDW a week after 9/11 back in '01. It was fine.

The problem with this question is that it assumes that an airplane is a dangerous place to be. In case of a biological or nuclear terrorist act an airplane would be a very safe place. That's why they put the president on one!
You could drive but what if the terrorists decide to blow up a bridge? You could take a train but they might cut the tracks to derail the train. You could stay home but if they release biological weapons near your house that could be the worst choice of all.
What's the point of not flying?

Yes. We don't fly often, but are planning on going to Chicago this summer. If there is a specific threat to airlines, I can see reconsidering.

nope, but that would of been my answer prior to all the stuff going on...:o

We will be flying in May. I am currently looking for airline tickets to the West Coast in June. The only thing that keeps us from flying more is the high cost of airline travel right now. :( We will be driving to wdw in December to save money. The most dangerous travel we ever had was when we hit a deer in Wyoming with our minivan. We would have been much safer in an airplane.

Yes. My DW is going to Denver by plane tomorrow and my older two kids are flying to the east coast for a convention.
