I LOVED Liberty's Kids! I was a few history nerd even as a kid and didn't have cable so PBS was my daily watch. I was probably too old for Liberty's Kids (I think I was about 11 or 12) but enjoyed it.

@Buzz Rules - I'm curious, how old are you? I wonder if we are about the same age...

Are you saying L.K. showed history wrongly (given that it was meant for children on a very general scope of the American Revolution)? Or are you referring to the educational debate currently in the country (that I don't want this thread to turn into since it's against the rules)? I'm just a little bit confused by your post.

No. Disney has a terrible problem with live action remakes. They are always trying to stuff social issues where they do not belong. What is wrong with entertainment?

It was made by PBS I believe. And they were pretty accurate to history I believe (certain things were glossed over due to time constraints but not completely ignored). Did you watch the show in the past?

That is the problem. Disney would try to distort the history as presented in the show.

If it was faithful to the show with the original writers, that wouldn't be an issue. It wasn't like Disney's Pocahontas by any means.

I remember that show! (My DS was a little young for it, but nieces were just the right age.) I liked it animated, so I wouldn't remake it.
