Orange county just announced that they will me ammending the executive order for the curfew. It now goes from 6:00pm till 6:00am.

They have noticed a big increase in highway traffic so they made the change. Would you drive during a hurricane? I can't figure out where they are going. Everything, and I mean everything is closed. Last night there was a tractor trailer that just delivered a shipment to Albertsons, he gets on I-4 and the wind gust blew his truck right over. Luckily there was no traffic so no one was hurt.

What is wrong with these people. But if you are caught driving after 6 and you don't have a good reason for driving, your going to jail.

I think people just want to be nosey. Obviously, there is no reason to be out, since everything is closed. It just hinders the recue workers.

We went out around 1pm today. No longer under a hurricane watch but are still getting a few bands from Frances. Winds around 20 -30mph. Places opening up and businesses are getting back to normal.
We stayed in for about 48 hours. No we would not drive in a hurricane.

Never driven...but when hurricane George hit in 1998, I was the one who volunteered to sprint to our chow hall a half mile away to pick up box lunches in the hurricane so everyone in the barracks could eat.

I thought it was fun!!!

My dh had to drive during Hurricane Isabelle last year. His work had booked a room near his office so it was not a long drive for him. He would had rather stayed home with me and the dog.

No, I wouldn't drive during a hurricane! I don't even like to drive in the rain, and you add much wind to that, and I'll stay home, thank you!

No way! I'd be too afraid of flying objects busting the windshield or denting the car if nothing else.

During Alicia, the city had to quarantine downtown Houston because windows were popping out of some of the skyscrapers and people still insisted on trying to go to work. It's not worth it!
