Would you do this if you were afraid of heights?

Go up to the top of the CN Tower in Toronto, a whopping 1450 feet?

Would you do it to prove that you could? Or chicken out?

It might weird me out at first, but yeah, I'd go... it wouldn't be easy but I definitely would give it a try :)

Yes. I'm afraid of heights, but as long as I was inside the building I would be fine.

I'm the same way. As long as I was inside, I'd be fine.

I'd be ok if I didn't have to look out any windows!!! I had a VERY hard time in the Sears Tower in Chicago!

Same with me. I once tried to go up the tower at the World Council of Churches headquarters in NYC. You took an elevator so far and then steps. The first set of steps were inside, but then the others were outside with just a flimsy railing to keep you from falling. There might have even been "scary steps." (Scary steps are steps with gaps between each step that I could fall through when I faint - which I have never actually done, but am convinced will happen.)

If you get to stay inside that building, I'd be fine. If not, no way.

I even worked there when it first opened! Just don't sit by the window in the restaurant! It's a killer looking down!LOL

It was and is still awesome!

I love going to the top of the CN tower. It's a gorgeous view from up there.

Then again, I'm not afraid of heights

I went with my family when it was new...they went to the top, and I stayed on the ground. On the other hand, I did go to the top of the Eiffel tower.

Ok, for all you "been there, done that" people... what about the glass floor? Is that TRUE?

So, Saturday, June 5th, 6 pm, for anyone interested in a CN Tower Dismeet, lol ;) .

As long as there is a sturdy floor and a railing I am fine. Inside a building is a breeze.

It's actually a plexiglass floor!

But you won't catch me on it!LOL

I personally would not but I've tried many things and found it just makes me too uncomfortable. I've stood at the top of the Hoover Dam looking down, went up in the Hancock Tower in Boston to see the view, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I can take the next to top platform on the Eiffel Tower, that's enough for me and the view is still beautiful. But I just can't control that panic feeling so I'm happier staying just a little closer to the ground!

NO
Once when I was about 12 my aunt took my sister and i to the top of WTC and I totaly freaked out, wouldn't even go near the windows.

No. My knees would literally buckle out from underneath me. If I was strapped into something and felt secured in place, I could handle it, but I couldn't convince my legs to stand at all.:o

I'm terrified of heights, but I've been up a few times because the view is worth it. The glass floor freaks me out and I won't go near it. I'm also afraid to go outside onto the observation deck. Too scary for me.
