I use System Restore like every other month! It has saved me many times from I don't know what problems my PC developed, but the System Restore fixed it.

Lol ... I love the idea of system restore. In theory, it might really be helpful to a lot of folks. (I have to admit I only used it ages ago and maybe now it's much improved!)

Of course, I'm a nerd, so I just reinstall windows whenever I get the urge. It's a guaranteed solution to any software-related issues. I've also used it to "magically" fix friends computers, most of which were infected by some sort of malware/virus-from-hell (or ... er ...victims of some kind of "user error" )

People are scared of wiping/reinstalling, but as long as you're backed up, there's nothing to worry about!

Ive been begging GF for months to let me wipe/reinstall her laptop. I know it would magically fix lots of its issues, but she's really protective over it! Grrr!

you can also buy a wireless card, or some external wireless connector, to get them on the internet, if you choose.

As a pp mentioned, try to set them up the night before and put a big bow on each..
