We did the dining plan in May, are doing it again in September and again next April. It's definitely worth it!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

LOVE the dining plan!!!

We had it free last fall, bought it January '06 and have a free dining trip planned this fall. We would eat at one TS a day anyway, so for us it is perfect! And, if you go when it is not free, you can get a AAA discount on your room.

I think we are hooked and can not imagine going without it.

Yes!!

We split CS breakfasts and lunches and took dessert from TS dinner back to the room to have as snacks later. It worked great- not too much food for us. I used the snack credits to get Mickey rice-krispie bars to take home.

It's so nice knowing that everything is paid for before leaving. Guilt free steak for dinner every night!
We're two adults so we liked picking all of our restaurants. It was also great help with our planning.

NO NO NO!!!!!!

1. Way to time consuming to do TS meals
2. Way to much food.
3. DD 16 eats like a bird and is very very picky about what she eats.

DH and I did an adult only disney visit last year for the free food. Found that the TS meals just took to much time. Not to mention was just way to much food.

Normally we only do CS meals or eat something in the room, outside of last years visit during the free food we'd only eatin TS twice in 20 visits. TS just is not our thing. Last week we did indulge in a dinner at 1900 park fair.... short version of the story is when DD found out we was goin with out her last year she requested to go as soon as school was out in June this year and to eat at the TS of her choice.

The TS meal worked out very well tho as I planned it for our nonpark day. We ate a late breakfast in the room then had ice cream at disney marketplace for lunch so we was ready for supper at 7pm

Thanks for all the opionions. With just sis and I usually it is not really a saving for just 2 people. We have technically not done the DP, but did win a free disney trip, with a similar food offereing. Just seemed like we spent all our time around the meals. Was just too much time and food, wondering what everyone here thought. Thanks, mky :wizard:

It is the best thing WDW ever came up with in terms of dining service and will never ever go without it.

This past March we paid for a package trip and DDP. The DDP took alot of stress out of the trip knowing the food was prepaid and I am a planner so scheduling ADR's is a no brainer to me. The plan is actually quite liberating not to fret about what to order and how much it costs. Also the planner in me kept all the receipts and did a cost analysis. My husband and I actually saved $40 to $50 a day average with a 5 day trip.

Yes I am doing it again and will keep doing it even if I have to pay for it (which I will do now that I am DVC).....Actually the offering of the DDP to DVC members was definitely a factor in our decision to take the plunge and buy DVC after 7 years.

We have already done it for our last 2 trips...paid for it 8 days in January & paid for it again 9 days in May. Wanted to go for the free dining in August but opted not to go then.

Loved it!!!!

Absolutely! We loved the dining plan last September (when it was free) and look forward to returing for free dining this August too! We would definately pay for the DDP in a heartbeat if free dining wasn't available for a trip. It allowed us to visit restaurants we may never have checked out and we had so many nice character meals that we didn't need to use valuable touring time hunting down characters for pictures and autographs. Great time and money saver!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
