Would you do Rainforest Cafe or Bahama Breeze?

Rainforest has great, if noisy atmosphere. IMO, the food has gone downhill alot since the first time we ate there. We have RFC also at DL and have found the food to be better there than the one at DAK. It's fun for the atmosphere, but nothing to write home about foodwise.

How do you get to Bahama Breeze? Do you need to have a rental car? I'm staying at Port Orleans & using Disney transportation. I'm assuming we can boat to Downtown Disney, then where do we go. If it is in walking distance, can we get there safely with an 8 year old or are we crossing major highways? Ijust bought a $100 gift card for there (or any of the chain) for $25 and thought this could be a good way to get a good meal at a cheap price, but not if we're traveling too much or paying high taxi fees.

If you are talking about the one on Highway 280 in Birmingham, they took the kabobs off the menu quite a few months ago (it was my favorite, too!).

And to top that off, the restaurant closed about a month ago.

You're joking.

Okay, granted I don't get to that part of town all that much... but wow. And it wasn't all that long ago that we ate there (and I had the kabob then too) -- definitely within the past few months. The place was pretty full too; makes me wonder what happened.

Well dangit, now it seems I have to choose RFC because we can get there more easily with the Disney shuttle buses... :lmao:

We love Bahama Breeze.. so sad they closed in Rochester NY we went there often. We've made a spot on our dinner list for it when we go to WDW in August!
