I would keep my mouth shut. Tell NOBODY. The person who told you may not be telling the truth. You do not know if your niece-in-law is a scammer? If I knew myself that she was a scammer, then there would be nothing from me. I do not pass on hearsay facts.

She and my nephew were divorced 13 years ago. She had no contact with us and very little with her kids until he died. So, no I don't know much about her. When I knew her she was young and seemed very sweet, a lot has changed in her life since then.

I am not going to say anything to anyone in the community but I have talked to my mom and if I don't see her first, she will talk to my sister. I don't want mom to feel that she needs to give money she doesn't have. We are talking about going together and getting a gas card or a gas card and a card for food.
