I've never done the online check in so am not familiar with how it works. Here's my teeny tiny dilema...we have an AKV Value studio booked ( me and kids) for 4 nights before DH joins us and we move to OKW. I would really like either a pool or savannah view for obvious reasons. Trust me, we are NOT blessed by the view/good location gods ;) Does doing the online check in affect the chances of getting a good/not so good view? We will be checking in on a Wednesday around noon if that matters at all. Thanks for your input.

i did it at Christmas time and got the parking lot view on the 5th floor - not the best view I've ever had. Won't be doing value category again ever because I won't accept that view.

Sending good vibes that you get a different view or that the resort isn't full when you go so you can switch - make sure you print out the room number list of views - then you can tell what kind of view you have before you leave the desk if the room is ready and you can call and request a change if it isn't ready and you get a text.

I did it in January and got a view of the (empty) pool. LOVE me some value rooms.

I don't think doing online check in would help or hurt your chances. I think the best chance for a savanna view woul be to check in on a Fri or Sat.
You have an 80 percent chance of getting either pool or savanna view with a value studio. There are 4 pool, 4 savanna, and 2 parking lot. Good luck.

I think when you book value category you have to be ready to accept the parking lot view. HOWEVER, I think that checking in early and asking a person for a room without a parking lot view would be better than just checking in online. We have this same thing but opposite you. We are staying at OKW for 3 nights then moving to AKV for 2 nights. If you are talking to a real person you have the ability to say that you can wait to check in until a better view is available. If you have the option it is probably best to check in in person I'd think.

Good Luck (to us both!) :)
