Would you do H&V or Mama's for Fantasmic?

I have never done the Fantasmic dinner package before but this trip we have an additional ds! He will only be 17 months at the time of the trip and I just don't think waiting in line 90 minutes early sounds appealing with him! LOL So I want to make dining arrangemets. We all love Italian food(dh is Italian!) so I am leaning towards Mama's-just wanted some advice!

We did the package several years ago at Mama's and loved it. We ate at MM's in June, and it is still one of our favorites--we prefer the dinner menu to the lunch. I love the pasta ala vodka--excellent!

I haven't eaten at H & V in several years-since it was a character meal--but it wasn't my favorite.

Mama Melrose is one of our favorite WDW restuarants. Weve eaten there 8 times now and really enjoy it. We love the bread with dipping sauces and they make a great Caeser salad too. For our meals we have enjoyed the 4 cheese flatbread, pepperoni flatbread(minus the peppers & onions), chicken parm with pasta, and the Penne alla vodka.
Ive never tried the other restaurants offered witht he package because we cant not go to MM.

Hollywood and Vine is cheaper, but I really like Mama's, so I would go that way.

I've only eaten at H/V, and it was good. Personally, I'd stay away from buffets with a toddler. I'd like to try Mama's sometime.

All that traispsing to the buffets, leaving one adult alone with baby.

We LOVED Mama Melrose's during our last trip. We went during the Osbourne Lights and was told by Disney Dining that no PS were available in MGM, but we walked up and was seated quickly, though groups larger than 4 were turned away. Even my very very picky DS (11) loved the pizza off the kids menu.
