Below you will find my more or less finalized itinerary. I am having a terrible time trying to figure out if I really want to make a go of a second MVMCP on Tuesday night. We will have gone once on the day that we arrive with Gabby's family and I am such a sucker for Wishes that I would see it every night if I could. I really would love to do MVMCP again as just the two of us instead of the extra 8-10 people that should be joining us. Please look at the itinerary and tell me if I am crazy for wanting to go again. Gabby doesn't think that we really need another MVMCP and should just save the money, but am just :confused3 and  about it all. Thanks for the input. Maggie

We went last Dec. and we did 2 MVMCP's. It was well worth it. There is a lot to see and you do not feel rushed to get everything done in one night. ::yes:: By doing the 2 parties, we took our time and enjoyed all of what the MK had to offer on those nights. :hyper2: I say do 2 of them so both of you can enjoy the experience. Remember it will be somewhat crowded on the party nights.

Have fun
John

Hi ! I confess that I did not read your entire itinerary. I'm just not good with that. But I want to give you my opinion. Nobody "needs" to do
MVMCP. It sure would be nice to do it twice, though. When you say "just the two of us", I am going to assume you mean you are a "Couple".
I find that at MVMCP, there is such a strong romantic feeling. It might be wonderful to experience MVMCP once with a group, and then once as a romantic couple. I feel that vacation means not only doing what you "need" to do; but also doing what you really WANT to do.

Go For It !

Stop at Kona Cafe for Coffee

I'm sensing a theme here :rotfl: I would do it twice if we could have. We went two years ago and I really loved it. If it is in the budget I'd do it.:goodvibes:

While I realize that MVMCP is not a need to do or must do thing for everyone, it is something that we both really enjoyed when we did it twice in 2003. I worry that some of the magic of the event will be lost when we are doing this with Gabby's family. While I know that her oldest sister will be right there in the middle of all the pixie dust with us, we are not yet sure of the plans of her other sister, who has threatened not to come, but to send her 17 year old newly diagnosed diabetic son, her 16 year old daughter and her 20 year old boyfriend to the party for us to watch. And if that sister does come along, she will most likely bring the loser du jour along with her and she will most likely either be drunk/stoned or be whining the entire time, much like she has done in the past when she comes along to these sorts of events with us. :sad1: There isn't enough pixie dust in the world to fix what's wrong with that woman. The basic idea behind this trip was to get everyone together for what might be the last time and have a family photo made.....what better place than MVMCP?!?!?! But, maybe it's just not meant to be....only time will tell.

Yes, Gabby and I are indeed a couple and we found aspects of MVMCP to be somewhat romantic. Basically, we just enjoy watching each other turn into the kids that we are on the inside. WDW is our happy place. We just can't get enough of it. We are on a bit of what we consider to be a tight budget. While we decided to splurge on a moderate hotel this time, we are cutting back on our souvenier budget....which is really hard for us, since we love collecting Disney pieces and love pins! Thanks for the input. Maggie

Yeah, we love good coffee. Kona is the easiest place for us to go to get our fix. Nescafe just stinks and that is what is found throughout most of WDW. I know that there is good coffee in a couple of other spots, but Kona is not that far out of the way. We discovered Kona on our trip in December of 2003 and obviously, it made quite an impression. :drinking1 Maggie

We did two MVMCP's in 2003 and while the Sunday arrival day party was wonderful, the other one wasn't as great, but it was the final one of the year and it was a Friday night. I was thinking that doing a Tuesday night would be better than a Thursday because I still remember my college days when Thursday night was just as much a party night as Friday nights and I know the locals would be more likely to be there that night. Thanks for your input though. Maggie

I would definately recommend that you do the additional MVMCP. IT just isn't the same with a group as it is as a couple. It can be a very sweet and romantic evening. :love2: However, I noticed on that you haven't included a Candelight Processional in your itinerary. IMHO, it's a not-to-be-missed event.(Just something to think about) :flower:

I appreciate the information, but we did this in 2003 and it just wasn't that great. I know that lots of people just love it, but it was a really cold night and frankly we were miserable sitting on the cold metal benches watching CP. The wind was blowing and even with layers of clothing and full bellies from Le Cellier, we were just too cold to find it that spectacular. I was really hoping that they would sing Silent Night as it's my favorite of all the christmas carols. They sang it, but it was in another language. I was so disappointed. For some folks CP is the ultimate holiday experience at WDW, but not so much for us. Maggie
