In the summer of 2015 we had a pretty good rate for a standard room at the Poly....around $280 booked through Orbitz. We are going to go back to the Poly in February and the 25% room only discount only brings the price to $417! I thought early February was a slower time than July and I'm surprised at the price! Is that just as good as it gets now that Orbitz doesn't do Disney resorts anymore?!

During the construction and rehab years when they were working on DVC, the pool areas and casual QS restaurants etc. Poly rooms were offered at serious discounts. Lots of rooms were taken offline so as not to overlook construction, and not many people wanted to pay top dollar for a construction zone with some amenities closed, even if Disney did do a decent job of blocking noise and construction views by closing parts of some buildings and putting up walls and foliage. Had to offer lower than their normal high rates to get people to book it. Once work was officially finished the rates shot right back up.

Plus resort prices have also increased and with high occupancy, Disney has not had to offer as large discounts. It used to be fairly easy to get 35-40% off. Now, not so much.
