Would you consider Jungle Jims a fun restaurant for a 7 and 10 year old?

We will be flying to Orlando in June and then heading to Ft. Myers to visit my sister. We are coming back early to do a day at Seaworld and I am looking for a fun restaurant for the kids. I have heard Jungle Jims is kind of neat, but wanted to hear from others that have been there!

Unfortunately we will not be doing a Disney visit this trip, but have a Disney vacation scheduled in December :cool1: , so this will be a nice teaser being so close!

We used to always hit Jungle Jim's, until a year ago April on our last trip. We really felt the restaurant had gone WAY down hill - it was dirty, service poor, food so-so...it's OFF our list for good...

It has gone down hill a bit, at least in the french fry department. They used to sprinkle parmesean on them, now they just have generic curly fries. However, the monte cristo peanutbutter & jelly sandwich is awesome. Do it!

How about Rain Forest Cafe? That is my all time favorite place to eat! I love the atmosphere!

The Rain Forest Cafe chain has a great look - too bad the food doesn't live up to the atmosphere. I'd pick Jungle Jims over RF even though JJ isn't the restaurant it was 5 years ago. The choice of meals, the shorter wait for a table and price all favor Jungle Jims.

We went to Jungle Jims in February and it was awful. Quite possibly the worst restaurant service I have ever had. I am not too picky for the most part, but I will never go back.

If you try to compare the theming and atmosphere of RFC and Jungle Jim's you are in for a giant disappointment.

In my opinion, Jungle Jim's is old and run down. It has a neat menu, but it is mostly a burger joint.

We used to like Jungle Jim's but haven't been there in the last couple of years, so it may have gone downhill since we were there last.

We did go to Rainforest Cafe back in November and had a great time there (definitely more expensive than JJ's).

As far as location, they're very close together since RC is in Downtown Disney (well, one of them is anyway).

In terms of cleanliness, there is no comparison to anyplace Disney--it is run-down, ever since the other JJs closed. And the service is hit or miss. But kids really do seem to love it, the burgers are good, and the prices are decent for the area.
