We're planning for a trip to WDW next yr and have 2 weeks to choose between Jan 28-Feb 3 or Feb 4-11- just wondering if anyone had been there at the same time in the past and had an opinion on which is better?? Both are value season. I'm a little concerned about the weather but according to the website the daily high is about 74 and daily low about 55- does that sound about right?? We'll be traveling with a 1 and 4 yr old and staying at either the Dolphin or the Contemporary to make getting around a little easier. Thanks!!!

Either week is great - weather & crowds - as long as President's week hasn't started yet for the 2nd week. That's the week in Feb to avoid! No idea what dates exactly it falls but as long as it doesn't fall during those dates you should be fine. We were there Feb.1 - 5 this year and it was absolutely wonderful! Have a great time!!:D

I would say in general that the closer to the end of the holiday's, the lesser are the crowds, so I'd pick the last week of January. Having said that, the last week of January has a slightly higher risk of nippy weather. Since all the pools are heated though, we have never been bothered too much by those occasional chilly days. Hope this helps!

the farther you get from January, the less likely you will get cold weather. We went at the end of Jan. 2000 and they had a cold snap the whole 5 days we were there. I mean cold. high 30's during the day. low 30's at night. That's cold for Florida. Luckily that what was forecasted so we were able to pack sweaters and jackets.....

We went last year from Jan. 28-Feb 3. It was jean and T-Shirt weather with a light jacket worn at night. We never swam but lots of people from the "north" did. (We are from south LA so it was still cold to us.) We also went at the beginning of January a few years ago and it was cold. As long as it is not presidents week you should be fine. One of my favorite times is mid Feb to mid March when we havea Mardis Gras Holiday here. Once again, as long as we stay away for Presidents week, it is OK.

One negative---this time of year is a packing nightmare. We bring both summer and winter clothes. We leave in 10 days and will bring half the luggage as it is mostly shorts/swimsuits/etc.

Either way you decide at thebeginning of the year, crowds are VERY manageable.

Feb. 4-11....this is when I usually go every year.:o (Its my Birthday on the 5th I spend it at WDW).;) I bring both Pants and Shorts, because with our weather, you never know.
