Our Britsh Guide and Unofficial Guide are 2003/2003 would you bother with new up to date ones? Thanks

:thumbsup2 We buy a new one everytime we go - we went last year and are going this year and we are still buying 2007:rotfl2: There will be differences since 2003

ive only got the brits guide but i do buy a new one each time:) its the start of my planning

At least i am not the only one who buys one every year! Yes, buy the 2007 one, there will be a load of differences. I always lend out my old ones to friends and family who are going to Disney (but i never lend out the recent one!! ) You can certainly borrow my 2006 one.....just PM me.

I always buy the uptodate one, wether i'm going on holiday or not!

There will be alot of differences since 2003 so it will be worth it.

:yay:

We like to keep up to date on everything in the parks so it's a must for us:thumbsup2 just got the new Passporter and have found it very useful:thumbsup2 We read the threads here too and check WDW's own site I know it may seem odd to some but we like to be prepared:surfweb:

IMO it's definitely part of the holiday spirit! My DD just gave me the PassPorter Cruise Guide and I've had my nose stuck in it all day... :thumbsup2

I like the Brits Guide and the Universal Orlando book. Always get the most up-to-date one. It gets me into planning mode:thumbsup2

That'll be a resounding YES to that question then !!

I too update both books on the years we go. 2008 the next ones due to be purchased.

Thanks everyone, seems that I`ll have to go shopping. So far the cheapest Brits Guide seems to be WH Smiths.

WHS is the cheapest I've found it so far, but I haven't net shopped for it this year.

We love it and buy a copy every year - we use the book to plan everything and of course asking ques on here.

Good luck with planning

thanks Nat nearly bought it from Borders on sunday for £13.95. I buy it new every year even if i dont go:rotfl2:

How sad is that:cool1:

i might be in the small majority but we dont buy guide books.Have always found info on the boards more informative and up todate.(i am sure simonv plucks stuff from the boards for his guides)
might be because been going for 14 years now most of the stuff in the guides is common sence

Paul, in my experience, it's the other way around, i.e. Simon supplements the book by providing updates here and on the Brits' Guide website. He and Susan live in Orlando, so there's really no need for him to be using second-hand information. Even prior to his residence in Orlando, he made numerous research trips and his integrity as a journalist would not have allowed him to resort to hearsay.

I appreciate his willingness to provide free updates and, for that reason, I'll continue to buy each new edition of the guide.

dont forget its not just an english board but a usa board

You've lost me I'm afraid, Paul. Simon's press credentials give him access to information and previews that the posters on these forums, whatever their nationality, can only dream of. Most of what is posted here is opinion at best and misinformation at worst. To suggest that he would either need or want to include such in his guide is, frankly, laughable.

I always buy one every year either the UnGuide or the Passporter
usual get it for DH for Christmas (well he has to be kept updated as well)
