I would buy it as a souvenir, but only if it was different than the mugs I already have at home.I am not a soda or coffee drinker.
I like water - especially while on vacation.
Should I buy a resort mug as a souvenir?
Would you?
Way cuter mugs exist than the refillable ones. I'd rather spend $15 on a better mug if I only drank water.

Agree with this. There are a lot of travel mugs in the parks, for less than 1/2 the price. We got a really cute one at a coke stand in HS that is WAY cuter than the resort ones. If anyone else drinks soft drinks, they are usually filled with something when you buy them, but I assume they would gladly sell you just the mug.
Not a big fan of the refillable mugs, but I have read if you take them to the parks you can have them filled with ice/water (only) at snack stands, quick service, etc. instead of buying bottled water. Don't know the truth of this...or if it has to be a refillable mug or any cup would do. (Disclaimer: read it here on the Dis!). Of course, this would only benefit you if you plan to drink WDW "tap" water instead of bottled water, then it could save some $.

Don't they come with dining plans? Or can you decline the mugs and save some money?
