According to the auction notice, she is a "Square Trade Verified Seller" -
PER EBAY,
"Seal Member Verification
All Seal Members must have their identity and/or contact information verified as a prerequisite to being approved for the Seal. SquareTrade uses a range of tools to ensure that we verify the contact information and/or identity of each Seal Member. These tools include:
3rd party databases (e.g., Equifax).
Physical letter in the mail with a unique code - the Seal Member has to receive and return.
Fax of a utility bill or other official documentation identifying the applicant and their contact information.
For businesses - a Dun & Bradstreet # or an Employer Identification #
Important: While the above identity and/or contact information verification does NOT guarantee a seller's performance, it does provide buyers with additional verification and increases the likelihood of a more successful transaction. "
I guess this makes it a little less risky, but I'm still not sure I would bid on something that expensive on Ebay.
