Would u rather date a "hottie" or a "gal / guy" next door type?

I don't think you can really define "hottie"

What I find attractive might be totally different than what someone else does...

I've dated both kinds and there are good and bad apples in both bunches. No matter who you date, you will find something attractive about them beforehand, whether it be looks, sense of humor, personality, etc. It'll usually take at least a couple of dates to really see how they are, though.

In the fantasy realm, a nice hottie is a good thing ;)

I've dated hotties. I consider myself a hottie.
So Yes I would rather date a hottie next door...

Neither one in particular. Give me one that's intelligent, has common sense, and a sense of humor. :) :faint:

I want a hottie with a guy next door attitude. :earboy2: But I like the "rugged look" in men more than a "pretty boy" look, so I guess it depends on your definition of "hottie". :D

I COMPLETLY agree!

As for my "type", I prefer the girl next door look...my cousin says I prefer "mousey" types... :confused3

I just want someone with a great personality...preferably Ginny :earboy2:

Hottie, definitely. Everyone's idea of "hot" is different. Physical attraction must be there and it must be lasting.

I always did well dating very hot girls, but it was a pain in the butt, fighting off other guys. I started dating my wife because we were drinking buddies, and had a great sense of humor. my friends didn't see the connection, and she kept doubting our relationship, wondering why I would want to marry her. then my hair stared falling out, and I wondered the same thing with her. the best relationships are those you don't have to maintain. I still look great in a baseball cap, but my wife is happy with how I turned out, the same way I was happy with her 11 years ago.

Well, I have always liked the guy next door types in movies as well as IRL. I have never been attracted to what other women consider hot, such as Brad Pitt. Don't find him attractive at all!

As far as real life, same thing. I just don't have the same taste as other women I know. And for the record, I am married to the perfect "guy next door" type, although I must admit that I also find him to be a "hottie". As a matter of fact, when I was 14 my Dh did live next door to me for awhile...lol! We didn't date then though.

Sure you can. I mean, there can be exceptions, but we all know who is considered a hottie.

That's good to hear. I find that type few and far between.

I married the guy next door. We just had our 33rd anniversary dec 27th.

We lived next door to each other when we were kids. Both families moved and a friend of ours and his brought him over to our house a few years later.

No we don't. Some people think ______ (insert celebrity there) is "hot".

I think they look kind of gross/icky/arrogant/blah...

There are a lot of women who think Justin Timberlake is a "hottie". I find him repulsive. There are a lot of men who think Paris Hilton is a "hottie". I find her to be the most disgusting looking woman I've ever seen.

I'm sure I could list more men and women who are considered "hot" by other people's standards but not by mine. Likewise, I could probably list some people I think are beautiful that you'd all be like "are you blind??"

You can not define beauty.

Were you talking to the woman I work with who argued with me about this? She is a perfect example of someone who finds them both attractive/hot, and I'm a perfect example of someone who agrees with you. And my co-worker and I are the same age/background/whatever, so that's not the distinguishing factor.

Who a person considers 'hot' is a matter of personal taste, imo. My husband would probably be considered 'boy next door' type by most, but he's a hottie to me. *shrug*

Umm... what does arrogant look like?

There's a fairly universal idea of what is "hot". Otherwise, how does Sports Illustrated know who to put in their swimsuit edition? How does a fashion magazine decide which pictures to use? How does Chippendale's know who to hire? There will be variations, of course, but a universal idea of attractiveness does exist.
