Nope - I'm not even sure why it would offend somebody. People are allowed to believe what they like. Nobody has to ask her to elaborate on her siggy.

I totally agree. She is a friend of the family. My sister finds it very offensive. I personally find it sad. Not because she is an athiest. We are all entitled to choose what we believe in, but because she uses the word "God" in it.

My first reaction is that a) she's trying to get a rise out of people (maybe even you) and b)if she really was saying she's Christian a few months ago she's probably a little confused.

Who knows what she really believes. I'd ignore it.

I guess I must have a bad sense of humor because I see nothing funny about it. She certainly has a right to put anything she wants in her signature, but frankly, I'm a bit lost for words at why one would want to be defined for their religious beliefs by a bunch of strangers.
