Would this make a Cast Member angry?

I know that when purchasing an Annual Pass you can not control which characters you get on your ticket since we are printed off which one is next on the roll. Now on my families 1st night at Downtown Disney I am planning on replacing my current Annual Pass because it's getting a bit to creased at the top. However just incase I ended up with a ticket had Minnie on it I personally wouldn't want it since I am a guy and would like someone like Mickey, Goofy or Donald. So on the off chance I got a ticket with Minnie would it be ok if I asked for another one or would that upset the Cast Member? Unless it's better going back later on when a different Cast Member will be working or trying one of the Guest Relations ticket windows at the parks?

Two years ago when buying our annual passes, DS10's turned out to be CINDERELLA. He was not happy at all. The cast member watched DS getting upset while the rest of our tickets were being printed, but didn't offer to do anything. I didn't expect that he could anyway. It is too bad that each person can't pick his/her character.

I think it would depend on the line and how busy the day has been. Also maybe you could ask what is coming up next?

Who cares if the CM gets angry? Ask nicely and the worst they can say is "no". My DH and I ended up with the same character (I don't know how) and I asked that one of us be given a new one. It was reprinted with no problem. Heck, if I got a character I really hated I would "lose" the darn thing prematurely and just get another one :rolleyes1.

i can't imagine why a CM would get upset. either you are allowed to request what type of card you can get or you can't. there should be no personal interpretation of whether or not to 'allow' this.

i would ask. if you get a no, then i would ask for a supervisor and what the official policy is on this. it is a very simple request.

besides, i would think Disney would want to keep stats on which characters are most popular. kind of like pro sports knowing what athletes jersey sells the most.

Not sure they can control who it is.

I think there is a rotation of say Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, repeat.
That way a family of 4 would each have different ones if bought at the same time. Ours started out different but as they became demagnetized, we have repeats and it is a pain as we approach the turnstiles. It used to be green to this kid, purple to me, blue to DH. Now it is purple, purple, red, purple!

Most of the ticket packs have five repeating scenes/characters. Many of the people in windows know what the sequence is on their pack. At the water parks we have only one scene, which is Goofy, on all tickets. It is just a matter of giving a "read" command, running the ticket through the reader, clicking on "reissue" and putting a reason in the notes field and then clicking another button on the screen. It should take less than 15 seconds.

I don't see any reason why someone would get upset, unless there is a long line waiting for service.

My oldest son has Minnie Mouse on his and hasn't been happy about it. We didn't ask for a replacement, but I may on this next trip. The nice thing about our 4 is that each of us have a different character on ours. Probably won't be that way if he is issued a new one.

DH has Minnie on his AP! lol! (I got Mickey on mine.) I don't think he ever noticed or if he did he didn't say anything about it. I'm sure if he really paid attention to it he would NOT be happy.

When we bought our AP's, my son wanted Mickey on his so we went and asked for it to be re-printed. They were very nice about it.

All tickets come out random. I have a minnie mouse on mine, had to replace it, minnie again. :confused3

What do you all have against Minnie Mouse anyways? I mean really, it's just a card for goodness sakes! Wish I could afford an annual pass, and I wouldn't care who they put on it, if it meant I could go to WDW as many times as I wanted for a whole year!

If I was able to have an Annual Pass, I don't think I'd be upset about anything! The character on that pass would become my new favorite. :thumbsup2

Our APs became demagnetized and we had to get them reprinted on our last trip. Our new APs look like the old tickets (if I remember correctly) - mine has the Incredibles on it (I think they're on the teacups?) and my DH's has another group of characters. Maybe you'll get one of these kinds instead.

Thank you all for answering my question and hopefully when I replace my AP I won't need to ask the Cast Member this, but if I do then I won't mind it.

Is this really an issue? Do you have to turn in your man card or something if your AP character is female?

This just seems like a weird thing to be concerned with. :confused3

But, hope you get what you want.

This sort of thing would never bother me. You use the ticket to swipe to get in and then to get fast passes. I'm not sure why a picture on it would make any difference to anyone? Guess that is just me...to each their own :)

Ok people, please just leave the OP alone if you don't have anything helpful to say to answer his question.

If you are at all familiar with him and his posts you should know that he is one of the most polite posters on this discussion board...and also still somewhat of a kid himself (I'm thinking college, because from the tone of his writing he always seems a little too mature to be a high school kid?)
