Would this be offensive?

Our TKD studio does parties too. We just had one for DS this past Sat as a matter of fact. Is the theme "TKD" or "Martial Arts"? If so is that your DS's choice of does it have to be per your studio? I could have any theme I wanted. DS wanted skateboarding so we went with that. Since the kids were older I didn't do gift bags but I would have done those had I been clever enough to think of it.

We had a little class followed by refreshments and then some games. If in doubt ask your instructor. But great idea IMO.

I'm not so much worried about the other parents as I am about the Korean guys who will be running the party. I'll have to talk to my DH anyway. He takes classes there as well and I'm guessing he won't want me to do it--just in case.

They won't care. The worst thing that could happen would be them thinking, "Oh, silly American, doesn't know the difference."

People from other countries don't generally go looking for reasons to be offended the way so many people here do.

Have your party and have fun.
