Magic Your Way Package for 2 adults December 9th, 6 nights w/ hopper passes and dining:(not waterpark)
AllStar Music - 1554.38
POFQ - 1977.26

The Premium Dining Package:
AllStar Music - 2874.50
POFQ - 3398.50

If we plan on playing golf and stuff would the premium package be worth the extra money? It is a big difference.

To compare - we are paying $5100 for four adults, 10 day passes with hopper and waterparks....disney dining plan, all star sports preferred room nine nights and 4 round trip tickets from new york.

Golf would be somewhere in the $100.00 per round range for each person. If you play every day, that would be $1,200 in golf. That almost makes up the difference. I assume there are some other differences between the Magic Your Way and the Premium package. You really need to evaluate those differences too.

Before DW and I bought into DVC we normally took the Grand Plan at the GF or the Admiral Plan at the Beach Club. These plans were a version of what the Premium package is now. We collected each of our receipts from all the dining, golf, etc. On most of those trips we determined that our golf was "free" because the "ala carte" costs we collected were more than our package price by the amount we spent on golf.

My only question on adding in the premium to include the golf is how many days were you planning on touring the parks. If you want to see and do everything in the parks, it will take 2 days for the Magic Kingdom, at least a day, maybe two for Epcot, a day for MGM and a day for Animal Kingdom. That takes up most of your stay. Just wanted to bring it up.

That really depends on how committed you are to golf and how often you might be visiting WDW in the future. With the Premium Plan you can book an early tee time (7AM) and be done usually by noon. Lunch in the parks and you are on your way. You may not get to see everything in every park, but you can still have a great time. Unless you are both fanatics on golf though you probably will want to take one or two days off. Another interesting feature of doing the Premium Plan is that since golf is included, you could just get out and play 9 and not have to worry about wasting the greens fees. That would probably get you into the parks two hours sooner. One of our Grand Plans was during the first part of June. We played only 7 holes on the Mag. It was so hot and humid that it just wasn't enjoyable.

We usually go once a year or so and when we go we usually play golf on our DVC golf membership, so we have to play after 10. This suits DW just fine. Out of a 6 day stay we normally play 3 rounds as a couple and I usually play an additional round with the husband of the other couple we travel with.

I love Disney golf, although, by the time you go the Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines courses may be closed for the new project with the Four Seasons.

Just looked at the Disney Site for plan details and in addition to the Recreation being included in the Premium, you get Cirque tickets one night and the dinning is upgraded to 3 sit down or counter service meals a day rather than 1 sit down, 1 counter service and 1 snack. The 3 sit down options for dinning can be a pretty significant upgrade, however, thats a lot of food.

We did the Grand Plan once, years ago. It also included vast recreation and 3 meals a day. We kept our receipts and added them up when we got home. We "spent" more than the cost of the plan.
It was a GREAT way to vacation.

I believe it also coverd the dinner shows as well, along with recreation activities, fishing, horseback riding, and carriage rides. It also covers Disney's signiture resturants and the Cirq tickets.
