Would someone explain pin trading to me...(m)

my family is going to disney for the first time in Oct. Is pin trading something that my 9 and 7 year old would enjoy? What does it involve and what do I need to purchase to get them started. Any info would be appreciated.

All three of my boys (11, 8, and 6) have loved pin trading. We started about 2 years ago, and it does become an obsession! You can buy starter lanyards at WDW, or pick up stuff cheaper on ebay. I bought several lanyards for $2.00 at dealsatdisney.com, and have purchased many pins from a particular seller for about $2.50 a piece (plus shipping). I have given them out to kids from church, my doctor and dentist's kids when I hear someone is going.
