The whole "West End" is short of lunch places. The only sit-down menu restaurant is Rain Forest Cafe. Mara food court at AKL is open for lunch; it's OK but not worth a special trip. The animals at AKL are generally not out during midday anyway.
There are a number of counter service places at AK, most notably Tusker House and Flame Tree Barbeque, and there's the McDonald's at the corner of Osceola and Buena Vista.
