Hi everyone, I know that Walt Disney World has very strict rules about people over 12 dressing up in the parks other than the Halloween party. My9 year old daughter will be doing BBB and will be dressed like Anna (I know Disney won't have problems with that). However my older daughter is 17 and wants to some how resemble Elsa on the day that her sister does BBB. She found this dress at Hottopic and I'm wondering if you all think she would be allowed to wear this?

I'm thinking she should be fine because while it resembles Elsa's it also is no where close to looking like the real Elsa's dress.
Thanks!

Absolutely! Dressing in a character 'inspired' outfit is called Disney Bounding and there are tons of adults and older kids out there who do it. We noticed quite a few on our trip.

Yep, check out Disbounding. Lots of people seem to do the regular clothing that resembles character clothing :) I'll be looking into it for our next trip for me and my kids (dh wants nothing to do with it so he'll be the odd one out ;) )

I didn't know they had rules about older kids/adults dressing up. I don't see why not! Have fun!

I agree. Disney forbids adults older than 12 dressing in character costumes. That is not a costume, its just a dress.

Older kids and adults are not allowed to wear costumes that resemble one of the characters because they could be mistaken for a CM. They don't want someone that either could make them look bad or for a princess to not act perfectly in character.

NO problem wearing that at all. It's just a dress and not a costume. They are only concerned if there could be a way to confuse the guest with an actual character in the park.

Have a fun trip.

I wore my Hot Topic Little Mermaid Dress, my DH dressed like Eric and my DSs wore Flounder and Sebastian colors, and we were a hit at the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Ariel approved. Your daughters will look great.
