Hi

I am mad I know my family think I live in a dream land. My dh and I would love to move to Florida. My childrens ages are 2, 2 and 6.

We are not sure where to start looking as the usa embassy is a little vague on exactly what we can and cant do.

We are thinking of starting a business in I dont really know at the moment. I would like to go to college in Florida so I can continue with my studies as a Registered Nurse. I would prefer to obtain the qualificatins USA recognise so I can apply for University to start my nurse training out there. I am studying NVQ, but a couple of universities I have spoken to say that it is not a recognised qualification over there. :confused3

I would like to move out there before the boys are old enough to start school and my eldest as soon as possible. My dh likes the business idea and we are not sure where to start. His suggestion was to post here and see what people come up with.

Am I mad or am I insane :lmao: It is something we have discussed for about 2-3 years and feel its time to stop talking and put the plan into action.

I hope you can help.

It is very difficult to move out there Some friends of ours did it they bought 2 shops and an apartment. They were fine for 3 years until they had to renew the green card and were not allowed to stay They are glad they did it no regrets. she is also a qualified nurse think long and hard about it and look into everything before you go.

Hi

I am so surprised they didnt renew the visa. I would of thought having that security they would of done.

I really like the idea and would hate to be told you cant live here anymore. How horrible.

It is very difficult to move to the states. I got married to a US citizen and I almost ended up having to leave. We had to hire an attorney to sort out all the paperwork and then I felt like I was being interrogated by the imigration officials!!

I don't know what type of business that you'd want to start up, so I can't really help you with that. Hopefully soemone will be along later that knows something along those lines!

You could always get your RGN qualification here and after a couple of years experience get a nursing position in the States!

Good luck! :goodvibes

Did you see the report about the British guy who was married to an American citizen. I think that they had three children. Anyway he and his wife were in the process of splitting up and he was made to leave the country without any notice!!! :confused3
