Because I am not. We are going Dec.19-Jan.5 or 6th. We are flying from Detroit to Orlando. I have always booked right when they come out, but I just haven't had the extra money the past couple weeks. The tickets have gone up to $400.
Experts----when would you buy the tickets for this flight? I am always scared to wait, but the prices are so high right now. I would appreciate any insight. Thank You.

There are nonstop flights with Delta to Tampa for $278 inc taxes if leave Dec 18th or $300 on 19th. It's still very early but you have a lot of options to fly out of different cities such as Toledo, Saginaw, Lansing, Flint, Grand Rapids. There is Allegiant and SunCountry from Lansing but both only booking to Aug at this time.

This was 3 years ago, but I bought my Christmas time airfare the day they came out on Southwest. It was in June. Not sure when they are coming out this year, but I'm sure you could find out.

I don't know where you live, but in my experience, the smaller MI airports have always been way more expensive than Metro. We have flown out of Flint once but other than that we drive to Detroit.
