Hey,
I know its still rumor about Kong.
Do you think if they do it, it will be same as one in Cali? Kong 360. Isn't that one part of some back lot tour?
How would it be done in Orlando? I have read some reviews of Cali one and a lot like, but a lot also say only lasts about 90 secs and is part of a 45 min tour?

Just curious really.

At this point, everything is rumor. But, the rumor is the new Kong ride will be Kong 360 plus. One section of the ride will be like Jaws 360 but there were be more before and after than section including sections both inside and outside the show building like Jurassic Park. Universal did something similar the former Jaws ride. At USH, Jaws was just a small part of the back lot tour but when they brought it to USF, they expanded the basic concept to an entire ride.

It is rumored that the Jaws ride will use large trams like the Back Lot Tour and as such, won't have a height requirement.

Did I miss the rumor thread?

Also didn't US Orlando have a Kong ride once that caught fire or something and they re-themed it?

(Maybe not, for all I know I could have dreamed it or something)

I am arriving in Orlando for a 3 week holiday on August 5th 2015. Anyone know if the new Kong ride will be open by then? What is the likelihood of it being open by then? Thanks.

It is still in the Rumor stage... However quite a few sites feel it is 99% that they will probably announce something around October with poss a summer 2015 opening.
Again tho it is still just Rumor.

The Kong ride at USH is the one that caught fire. Kongfrontation which was at the Studios here in Orlando was redone as Revenge of the Mummy.

No one knows at this point...there is construction going on beside Thunder Falls Terrace but that's all anyone knows. Universal won't announce anything right now until some of the excitement of Diagon Alley fades...which won't be for a while. Personally...I think Kong will be open sometime next year but I have no idea when.
