Would grad night effect crowd level?

Thinking about changing our Disney Vacation to April 22,2005 thru April 30, 2005. We are planning on staying at POP. Heard about grad night during the last week of April. Does it make a large crowd thoughout WDW or just at MK during the schedule evening. Would we even notice? Got info. from last April's calendar.

Thanks

We went this past May during Grad Night...I sorta was bummed cause the parks closed early. 7pm for the MK and no Wishes...

Crowds weren't bad, but I was sad that I didn't get to stay late in the MK

I was more bummed because PI opened late. The only theme park affected should be MK.

There were lots of teens staying at the All-Stars. This was before Pop Century opened.

If you don't mind MK closing early and PI opening late, and you don't mind taking a chance on seeing lots of teenagers (they weren't doing anything untoward, just standing around and talking, but there were lots of them), you won't even notice anything other than the big stages they put up around MK for the Grad Night entertainment.

Also, there will probably be no nighttime parade at the MK on weekends, and possibly no fireworks. They'll most likely be presented on other nights during the week.

We will be there for 8 nights so it doesn't matter if we don't see parades or fireworks on the weekends. We can see those on the week nights if scheduled. We have visited in October and we are use to MK closing early. We won't be visiting PI..our DS is only 4.

Since it is generally a day trip for the HS seniors you probably won't notice park crowds. As others have mentioned the graduates take a bus from the hometown in FL and the surrounding areas and then have the dinner and pre-party at PI before the 'after hours' party at MK.

So PI opens late and MK closes early, just check the official hours and plan accordingly. Other than the few families or schools that spend a night (rare!) you may not even see the graduates.
