Would Disney After Hours be worth it for us?

Just my daughter and I are going in February for a dance competition and will be there Feb. 13-18. We have a 4 day PH pass, but one of those days is our arrival day, and we probably won't get to the parks until about noon or so that day. I'm nervous that 3 and 1/2 ish days won't be enough to do everything we want to do. The crowds look low on our first two days there, but jump up the last two days (Sunday is our performance day, so no parks for us and Monday we fly out early). I noticed that there is a Disney After Hours event while we are there. I'm thinking that if we are able to get most of the rides at Magic Kingdom knocked out there, that should free up some of our other time to make sure we get the other parks done. Do you think it would be worth the extra cost in our situation?

Absolutely. I bet you will make great memories at DAH. It's such a fun way to experience the park and you can get most rides done.

YES!!! It is fantastic!!! I have done it twice, once in January and also on June 30. SO much fun, some rides you can just stay on and ride a couple of times.

Changes happen....but the posted experiences still seem to mirror ours from March

This is the one special ticket extra that I would do again without question!! DH and I had an amazing time!

I'm pretty thrifty and avoid paying for extras like dessert parties and EMM. But I would totally be all over that chance for DAH. I bet you get more done during those hours than you could if you were in the park all day with regular crowds.

Yes, I think you should go for it! We did DAH on one of our trips and loved it. DAH has VERY VERY low crowds. We could get on any ride you wanted, multiple times if you wanted. We loved the free snacks and beverages and walking through MK with hardly any people around. There are also several PhotoPass photographers out during the evening. So fun!!!

I would do the DAH, we have done 2 and love it, so worth the money! You can ride everything in the park in the 3 hour time frame!

We did the one in January, me and my daughter, because it was a short trip, 3 parks days and we like to see all 4 parks. So one day we did Studios in morning (it was before TS land) and did the after Hours party as our "MK day". We like MK after dark anyway.

Me and friends did June 30 to beat the heat of summer at WDW, and to get on just about every ride in the park with no lines.

It is all about the rides, no special fireworks, parades, meet and greets. Just rides and Mickey bars, popcorn, soda.

It was my favorite part of my trip in January. For me, it was totally worth it.

I am highly considering going.. since we are going the 1st week of Feb 2019 and the parks almost always closes at 8

Limited number of tickets for the event = about how many??

No one really knows for sure. People throw out 3-5k, but impossible to confirm that.

Crowds are definitely low. You don’t feel alone, but most ride lines are short to non-existent. Exceptions include 7DMT, Speedway (slow loader). People tend to report longer lines at snack carts than on the rides. :-)

We found that unless you wanted to ride 7DMT, there was no wait. We went right on every other ride, with some rides that we could ride twice without disembarking.

Just wondering...
For the after hours events, do you need regular ticket plus the after hours ticket?
