Would Concierge do this...

We (actually the kids) would love to take the train to Orlando for a visit at Poly concierge. Unfortunately (for those that know), the train stations in Orlando and Kissimmee (sp?) don't offer car rentals. Also due to the variability in train arrival times, it would be difficult to arrange for a limo to meet us and we don't look forward to taking a taxi from the station to WDW.

Would concierge pick us up at the station? I've seen the courtesy vans at the various resorts and wondered what they were used for.

The limo companies will take you. They'll check for delays and you could use your cell phone to let them know.

You can rent a car, the rental agencies have a shuttle service that'll take you to their nearest location but I'm not sure if the rates will be as competitive as the airport.

For some reason, I think the courtesy vans have something to do with DVC, but I'm not positive. As for arranging transportation, that is a service that the pre-planning department provides. For our trip in December, they made all the arrangements for a limo to pick us up at the airport. The company they used at the time was Trio Trans and I just had to give the concierge department my flight information and credit card. I don't see why they couldn't help you with a town car or limo from the train station. Which resort will you be staying in?

The Orlando train station has a Hertz car rental booth. Also Enterprise would probably meet you there with a rental.

We always take the train and use Tiffany Town Car to pick us up at the station.

They keep track of the train arrival time and have always been there to pick us up.
They also will make a 30 minute grocery stop if you want to pick up water, etc. (a big money saver ).
