This may be being done already, but I think it would be cool if each Podcast team member would sit with a different Podcast cruise family during each meal of the cruise. I know the logistics would be a pain to work out, but I'm sure it could be done. It could also be worked out where the tables are enlarged to where more Disers could sit together. Sounds like a logistical nightmare and it probably is, but I think it would be a good idea.

I'm OK the way it was before. The fun for us was sitting with fellow DIS'ers at meals.

Imagine if the podcasters (6-8 of them) had to rotate through two seatings at dinner in order to reach just half the ~700 folks that are booked for the cruise. Even if that could be worked out (which I doubt), then what about the family that decided to book Palo the night a podcaster was scheduled to sit at their table? Ouch - my head hurts just thinking about it.

It would be easier if Kevin and John invited everyone to their stateroom for room service. ;)

You know the rule....you suggest it...you make it work.

Keep in mind that there are 8 of us. The largest DCL table holds 8 people with most tables holding 4 - 6 people....but some seat 2.

There are 700+ people going. As Jeff said...keep in mind Palo, room service, fast food locations, three dining rooms, two seatings per night at dinner and breakfast has "sit down" options and a buffet option. Also....many guests dine off the ship on the day we are in Nassau and Castaway Cay. You will have to make arrangements with those locations as well so as to make sure each family gets the oppotunity.

Also keep in mind that DCL does table assignments in advance, so you will have to get their permission and approval to have an empty seat at a certain table 8 times per meal....or...you will have to convince someone at each table assigned a podcaster to skip that meal so that a podcaster can sit down.

And the most important thing....you have to make 700+ people happy with the arrangement.

Let us know when you have that worked out....okay?:thumbsup2

Don't forget that *some* of us will change our dining arrangements once we get on the ship to make Palo work and others will book Palo at the last minute (if possible). I think I can hear Tracey's head exploding.

Yeah, I don't see this happening. There's just way too many people going on the cruise. Besides that, shouldn't the podcasters be able to sit with their families during meals? I'm sure they will be "on the clock" enough as it is. A little break at mealtime is deserved if you ask me.

My head just hurts thinking about what a nightmare trying to schedule that would be. Heck I would be happy just to be on the boat with everyone I wouldn't need to have dinner with the podcast crew! Sigh...still wish I could go.

I think a better alternative would be for Kevin to wander from table to table serenading people on the violin while giving a musical critique of the food they are eating!

Okay, now THAT would be funny! :rotfl2: Wish we could join in on this cruise. :(

Then this would become a "weight loss" cruise, as no one would eat.

You've heard me sing...right?:rotfl2:

Hey.....maybe you're on to something.

Well, if they plan on serving bagels and lox we know people will be dropping the pounds fast! :P

I'm thinking accordion instead of violin. Shades of Christini's.

And maybe he can straighten our silverware while he's at it. ;)

I don't know about anyone else but for me, this cruise just took on a whole new level of excitment!

Hmm... So you guys won't make your whole trip about us? Bummer! :)

Wish I could go on this one, but we are already booked for the Dream at Thanksgiving....

It would heighten my level of excitement to have Kevin and John hovering over us straightening our flatware. :rotfl2:

I was thinking it could be like a "character meal". The podcast team could wander from table to table greeting and posing for photo ops.

Just teasing, really!

(But some of the podcasters really are "characters", aren't they?)
