if the Disney Photopass is free? How do you claim your pictures that were taken with the park?

When one of the photographers takes your picture, they tag it to a free photo card. You can go to the camera shops, give the CM the card and they'll bring up the photos that were taken. If you decide you want any photos, this is when you'll pay.

Buying photos this way can really add up fast! That's why so many people choose to buy the PhotoPass+. You can read all about it at this link. I've always found it's worth every penny. http://www.disneyphotopass.com/specialoffers/dlrppp.htm It's also known as PP+

So you would have to buy the picture that was taken? Can you even look at any of them? I was given a photo card but they didn't say what to do with it.

The photographer takes your picture and tags it in his camera to the scan code on the back of the photo card.
Take the card to the camera/photo store and give the card to the CM.
The CM will bring the pictures tagged on the card up on a computer monitor.
You can look at all of the photos.
You are NOT required to buy any if you don't want to.

I have bought photos this way and like I mentioned the cost adds up fast.

With PP+ you order online. The voucher you get in the mail is turned in at the photo/camera store and they give you a special PP+ card.
You can get all ride photos, a character meal photo set and any photos taken by Disney photographers on the PP+ card.

During a 4 day trip it's not uncommon for me to end up with 200 or more photos on the PP+ card. And all it costs is $69.95.

It's a nice way to have all the ride pictures.

I've never brought my photo pass card to anyone in the park. I always wait until I get home and look at them on the internet and decide if I want to buy them. The website is listed on the card and you just put in the photopass number. I think you have 2 weeks or something to look at them and decide before they expire.

Yes, you can look online. You can also edit and add borders to your pictures.
