My mom is 82 and we have done Disney many times. She enjoys the shows and calm rides. She is in a wheelchair but can transfer on her own. We are thinking of trying Universal this year. Is there enough at Universal for her to enjoy?

We're bringing my 87 year old mom to Universal in September. She walks fine but gets tired when walking too far, so we'll have her in a wheelchair too. I've been thinking about what she'll be able to do. Many of the rides at the studios will be fine. She did Star Tours at Disneyland this past November, so simulators are fine. I think I will have her avoid all of the coasters (obviously), Storm Force and Dr. Doom. Forbidden Journey is supposed to be getting tamed down somewhat so I'll ride that first before making a decision.

I'm on the fence about Spiderman and Transformers and Jurassic Park.

At IOA she can do Popeye, Pteranadon Flyers with the grandkids, the queue of Forbidden Journey, Poseidan's Fury and all the Dr. Seuss stuff.

Not sure about the new Gringott's ride but the Hogwart's Express should be fine. She'll enjoy Ollivanders as well since she enjoys anything Harry Potter.

For me, I sure hope I live long enuff to find out!!!

My 70 y/o Mom was gonna try to go with us on this last trip, but didn't want to stay as long as we were gonna be in town...and didn't want to fly alone. :sad2:
