Hi Everyone!!

I'm so excited that our trip is almost here.

Any last minute advice for us?

Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda type stuff.

Thanks a bunch.

This is kind of a big thing, but...
Last weekend, we decided to do miniature golf (Fantasia Gardens) for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised and kept wondering why we hadn't donr this.

also
A few trips ago, we discovered Ramune. It is this special soda that they sell in the Japanese Pavilion. It's tasty and refreshing, and you will have some fun opening it. We missed this last trip. =(

Thanks Mickey1122

I'm going to put "Ramune" on my list of things to try.

:goodvibes
I think it's in the Japanese Dept. Store.

Try to catch some of the shows in the World Showcase. The chair guys in France, the candy lady in Japan, Off Kilter in Canada and esp. The World Showcase Players in the UK and Italy are among the best.

Should have bought more DVC points when they were $58/pt (when we originally purchased).

SHould have bought more hard placemats (Mickey through the years). I use them every day and want more (they don't make them anymore).

Also, (not a would-a, 'cause I did it), get the green tea chopped not in little bags at Japan's Store. It's wonderful and hard to find around these parts. Very good for you, too.

I should have made my DH take my dd for a walk during the candy lady's show at Japan. She was so figdeting and didn't want to watch it so we all left. What I saw was fascinating.

Other than that, we did pretty much everything we wanted. Even made it to the pool 4 times during the week.

Should-A....
Next time we will not plan a trip less than 10 days. We only went for 6 and I am still recovering! We were/are so tired! The next trip I'm planning is for 11 nights/12 days with built in "resort only" days.

Bring a small screwdriver (open toys), small scissors (open toys, cut Moleskin, cut tags/strings), spray on sunscreen, and glowsticks. Those are the 4 things I was most grateful for (besides the normal clothes/toiletries).

Will spring for a limo or town car next time to meet us at the airport. After a long flight, the last thing we wanted to do was be herded like cattle in the basement with no AC to wait for a bus. We only waited for 25 minutes, but it seemed like an eternity in the heat and having to stand.

Shoulda packed our pj's in our carry on bag. We arrived at MCO at 2 in the afternoon adn did not get our luggage until 12 hours later. Needless to say it really got us off to a LATE start the next morning.
Coulda done more more more, but we actually stopped to enjoy the scenery. Sat on many benches taking in the "magic", made for some very memorable and refreshing moments!
Woulda have liked to stay longer. Next time I think we will go for at least 10 days. That way we could do water parks, etc!

I think the best advice is to not "coulda woulda shoulda" after the fact (or anticipate it during your trip).

By that I mean, let's say some catastrophic event happens (Brer Bear finally falls out of that hole in Splash Mountain) and that ride is closed while you are there. Instead of letting it get to you, just think of it as something to look forward to on your next trip (even if it's many years away).

You will not see EVERYTHING. If you concentrate on the parks, you can see MOST of everything in a week, but there is always going to be something you'll miss. Accept this, and embrace it, before you go. Go over it with the kids - let them know you are going to have a great time no matter what, and if you do miss something, don't be one of those parents (if you are bringing kids) that says missing one thing "ruined the whole trip" (it's amazing how many times you will hear people cussing out CM's and saying that).

Just focusing on seeing as much as you can, but don't build up expectations in case everything doesn't work out exactly how you planned it. The key to planning a Disney trip is to do as much planning beforehand so you can plan on the go, not so you can stick to a minute-by-minute schedule you made months before.

A good example of this philosophy is how I tell people about the Wishes! fireworks. Generally, Tinkerbell flies. But sometimes (as often as a couple of times a week) the weather isn't just right, so she can't fly. If you spend all day building up "hey kids, we're gonna see Tink fly tonight!" and she doesn't, you just might miss out on the magical spectacle of the show that is happening. So when I bring guests, I don't tell them - I let it be a surprise. And if it doesn't happen, they are none the wiser and still enjoy the show.

Just go and have a good time!

Just remember to stop and take it all in. I plan so much, then want to see everything, that sometimes I forget to stop and enjoy everything.
That is my goal for this trip :teeth: (we'll see if I can do it).

We went through the World Showcase so quick last trip and missed lots of things, so that is my other goal this trip.

Enjoy and have a fantasmic trip! :smickey:

try to find the"absolute" epicenter of WDW. Hint: it's in epcot(the CM I asked about it had never even heard of it!) :rotfl2:
