Worth upgrading from POR ?

Hi

We are a family of 5 and are booked for POR and gree quick dining, we are defo going to upgrade the dining to standard though.

Is it worth upgrading to a deluxe hotel/resort instead as you get the upgraded dining included then?
We have been offered OKW for about £250 more than just upgrading the dinning (£440 extra for dining upgrade)

Any other considerations? anyone else got an opinion on a better upgrade that wont cost thousands?

I've always been told the best value for free dining is when you book a moderate which is what we did last year. Loved it.

We stayed at POR and loved it. If it was me and just my opinion I would save my $$$ and stay at POR.

For us I wouldn't stay at OKW even if it was for a larger room.

The OP is quoting costs in British Pounds and not $US. I believe their special offers are different than the ones offered in the US (their free dining offer is for QSDP at the mods vs the DDP offered on the current US discount). OP I think your best course is to talk to your TA about any possible upgrade to a deluxe. Or perhaps a fellow Brit can chime in with their experiences with your discount offers.

I would stick with POR. It is a beautiful resort and you have the boat ride to Downtown Disney. You could use $1200 towards somewhere else or save it for your next trip.

We love OKW, but I don't think it would be worth $1200 because we love POR equally as much.

IMHO -Old Key West is lovely, but has some similiarities with POR, so I would not pay the difference to upgrade. Besides, POR just got a make over so all the beds are new!

Are you going via a travel agent? I live in Germany and booked myself online and always dealt with dollars. Curious if your fares in pounds are better worse than directly with dDisney in dollars ??
